1966
Siegfried Kerres begins with the sale and production of smoking and cooking equipment for the meat and fish processing industry. Head office of KERRES GmbH + Co.KG, smoking and cooking units with the departments sales and development is Winnenden, production is in Murrhardt.
1969
In Sulzbach Murr a new company building is made – which unifies all company sectors under one roof.
1970
The company KERRES is the first to manufacture a floor passable combined chamber with separate smoke generator. In the following decades KERRES is always a bit ahead of the time: Through the KERRES reverse circulation KERRES customers from 1975 reach about 30% faster cooking times. From 1977, multi-trolley houses are built – the modular design allows the application of high quality smoke and cooking houses also for industrial users.
1971
From the beginning Hildegard Kerres, wife of Siegfried Kerres works in company. She is responsible for accounting. End of 1971 another family member enters the business: daughter Gabriela Kerres contributes through her foreign language skills crucial conditions for the next export business.
1975
In Germany KERRES has quickly built up a good name. Now Siegfried Kerres takes the measurements for the export business, and dares the first step to Belgium and Scandinavia. Some years later, the KERRES smoking and cooking facilities are also exported to America and Asia.
1980
The company booms and the space is not enough any more. Another building expansion with office and production hall is built in Sulzbach.
1990
The political change in the eastern part of Germany and Europe opens new perspectives fort the company. Kerres woks a export shares on eastern Europe and Russia.
1998
Siegfried Kerres retires and hands over the business to his doughter Gabriela Kerres.
2003
Gabriela Kerres hands over the company to Turgay Güngormus and Günter Bauer. The new shareholders create another 2nd product depatment for the company: KERRES cleaning-systems manufactures and distributes cleaning equipment and complements the KERRES range of products for small and industrial companies of the food industry.
2004
In 2003, the premises in Sulzbach / Murr is sold. In Backnang in the industrial area Lerchenäcker a new home is found. On 1.6.2004 the company moves to Backnang – the management and final assembly in the new building, the sheet metal work in the Fabrikstraße.
2006
KERRES machines work successfully in over 80 countries, 40 years KERRES!
2013
CEO Turgay Güngormus leaves the company. The Pal brothers from Welzheim take his place. Viktor and Konstantin Pal direct side by side with Günter Bauer, the existence of the company. “Our goal? 2016
To enlarge the production area and expand the office space for the administrative and planning departments, a new production hall with administrative wing will be built in the immediate vicinity of the headquarters in Johann-Phillip-Reis-Straße. Mr. Dejan Trajkovic joins the management instead of Günter Bauer.
2019
To optimize and structure the production processes, the introduction of LEAN Manufacturing in production and assembly is started. The internal planning and administration processes are rethought and optimized digitally for the future.
